What does plumbing installation include in a new home?

Plumbing installation in a new home includes system design, rough-in of water, drain, vent, and optional gas lines, setting fixtures and equipment, and final testing to meet code. Most work happens during the rough-in phase before drywall, when we place pipes, vents, and drains so fixtures land exactly where the plans call for. We routinely perform this work in the Boise–Caldwell area and follow local requirements for water conservation and backflow prevention.

What a full new-build install usually covers:

  • Main water service, shutoffs, pressure control, and backflow protection
  • Hot/cold supply lines to kitchens, baths, and laundry
  • Drain-waste-vent piping sized and sloped for proper flow and venting
  • Gas lines to water heater, range, or dryer when specified
  • Water heater installation (tank or tankless) with proper venting and safety pans
  • Final fixture set, leak/pressure tests, and permitted inspections

Ask your builder and plumber to confirm fixture locations and shutoff access before walls are closed.
